Bell’s Alliance Lemon Lager brewed in celebration of LGBTQ+ community

The tap for Alliance Lemon Lager features the lemon rainbow illustration of its label on top of the Bell's rainbow pride handle.

This Sunday, we will be releasing a special beer in recognition of the LGBTQ+ community. Alliance Lemon Lager, or “ALL” for short, is a crushable lager with bright vibrant lemon character.

More than 60 LGBTQ+ and allied Bell’s employees took part in making the beer and planning the release party. The recipe was conceived by Hawk Kersey, our procurement coordinator.

"I think it's pretty cool to brew a beer that celebrates us being ourselves, just being who we are," said Laura Spencer, one of our packagers who helped brew the beer.

"That's the kind of environment Bell’s has, we're very inclusive. It's a great bunch of people to work with," added JP Plummer. "And that's always a day in the life at Bell's."

In April, we released Unite Hibiscus Saison a beer that was brewed by Bell’s and Upper Hand’s (women) brewers to commemorate International Women’s Day.

Alliance Lemon Lager will be released starting at 11 a.m. Sunday at Bell's Eccentric Café. We are inviting everyone to come as you are to celebrate diversity and all of the beautiful, uncommon denominators that make us who we are. This event is all ages and family-friendly with brunch specials, beermosas, shandies, yard games and DJs all afternoon. There will be bobbing for lemons, a photo booth and a caricature artist.

Bottles will also be available to take home via our Growler Station, while supplies last.

Hope you can join us!
