The original face of Oberon lives in the Eccentric Cafe.

It’s not the painting on the East side of the building. Nor on one of the mini-kegs in the Back Room.

It may have gone unnoticed: it’s on a small, wooden mask that hangs with several others above our taps.

Larry Bell purchased the mask while in Muir Woods in California. He brought it back to Kalamazoo to use for inspiration when creating the Oberon sun that is featured on the label to this day.
