Tim Lozen, one of our technical brewers, was awarded best poster (People's Choice) at the 2017 Master Brewer's Conference for his poster "A comparison of selected lactic acid bacteria for use in the production of sour wort and beer." 

The case study looked at seven different strains of lactic acid bacteria, comparing characteristics that make a specific lactic acid good for brewing sour beers. Sensory characteristics were ranked by a trained panel with experience tasting sour beer. 

This is another great example of Bell's employees contributing to the craft beer industry.
