How to support local families this holiday season with beer

The Bell's General Store will host a wrap and tap event on December 11.

Adopt a Family has a long tradition here at Bell’s. We’ve been working with our local Comstock Community Center for several years to help ensure those in our community have access to what they need during the holiday season. This includes everything from gifts and toys to clothes and school supplies. The community center works with Loaves and Fishes to provide food baskets.

Donations from our employees, along with a match from Bell’s, helps make all this possible. A few years ago, we also teamed up with our brothers and sisters up at Upper Hand so that we could help families in Delta County as well.

This year, we’re upping that support.

Our General Store, located in downtown Kalamazoo right next to our Eccentric Café, will host a new event: Wrap & Tap. (RSVP to our Facebook event here.)

We will be collecting unwrapped preschool-aged toys as well as donations to help benefit our local adopted families. Bins will be available to drop off toys and we’ll have a QR code to donate directly online.

Those who join us on Dec. 12 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. can also enjoy samples from our store’s growler bar (3 per person please) and have anything purchased in-store that day wrapped for free. We will even have special #BellsBeer themed wrapping paper. (Sorry we cannot wrap items purchased from other stores.)
