You may have spent time at the Eccentric Café tasting our beer, attending a concert or enjoying an afternoon in the Beer Garden, but did you know you can host your next event at Bell’s?

Our Back Room at the Eccentric Café is perfectly suited for your next business meeting, social hour with clients, wedding reception or organization get together. Hosting your event at Bell’s means you can have craft beer, order from a scratch-made catering menu and utilize various seating options to accommodate your needs.

Located behind the main pub and next to the Beer Garden, the Back Room at Bell’s Eccentric Café is located in downtown Kalamazoo at 355 E. Kalamazoo Ave.

Here are some common questions we receive for renting the Back Room.

What kind of events do you host?

We are able to host a variety of events, including, but not limited to corporate events, off-site meetings, wedding receptions, holiday parties and more.

When can I rent?

Sunday through Wednesday: 8 a.m. – midnight

Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Our Back Room is primarily a music venue, so rental times are limited on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings due to band load-in and set-up.

What is the capacity?

Out Back Room can hold up to 250 people with chairs and tables, or up to 370 for standing room only. We have several different configurations for tables and seating. Capacity is layout dependent.

Is there food?

We offer an in-house catering menu, with options ranging from light to heavy hors d'oeuvres to a custom dinner menu. See the menu here.

What about drinks?

We offer Bell’s beer, select Michigan wine and non-alcoholic beverages. The beer selection will be what’s currently on tap (see our tap cam to see what we’re serving right now). Your rental will include bar service with a trained, professional bartender(s). Our services are flexible to accommodate your needs and budget. Whether that is open bar, cash bar, utilizing drink tickets or setting a bar limit.
