This interpretation of Weathered Souls Brewery's global collaboration effort. Medium-bodied, warming, with balanced notes of chocolate, coffee, and burnt sugar. Brewed for release in Kalamazoo (Bell's Eccentric Cafe and General Store) and in Escanaba at Upper Hand Brewery's Tap Room.

Why don't we list IBUs?

There is a difference between absolute bitterness and perceived bitterness. IBUs are useful for homebrewers for the purpose of clone recipes, but it doesn’t always tell the whole story. Expedition Stout is a good example. It has more IBUs than more traditional hoppy beers like Two Hearted and Hopslam.

Barrel-Aged Black is Beautiful

We here at Bell's Brewery were very proud to join the global Black is Beautiful effort in 2020; our version was released in September of that year.

On June 16, 2021, we released a very limited bourbon barrel-aged version in 4-packs exclusively at our General Store in Kalamazoo to help continue that conversation and support justice and equality for people of color.
